OUR RETURN POLICY

Please ensure that you thoroughly read our return & exchange information prior to purchase. If you have any questions in regards to an order please contact customer service via our Contact form.

We exercise a strict quality control process to ensure our customers receive only the best products and services available. Our hair has been vigorously tested over 4 years, therefore we assure you of its great quality. Due to the nature of the products that we sell that are CUSTOM to order, we have a NO REFUNDS POLICY. No refund can be issued once the transaction is processed. Please make sure to review your order carefully before placing the order. We will also not cancel, or refund orders for not acknowledging our processing time.

No refund or exchange can be made on any custom wigs or Ready Crowns. However, at the discretion of Donna Prescott Beauty Brand LLC, if you believe you received defective merchandise, contact us immediately.  Exchanges will ONLY be allowed on Closures, Frontals, or bundles if the length, texture, or size does not match your order. The product should not be altered in any way. We will not conduct any exchange on any product worn or even shampoo. Hair has to be in its original state and show no sign of manipulation. Contact us via our Contact form within 24 hours – 15 business days after receiving your shipment. The customer is responsible for any return shipping cost.

BILLING PROCESS

Incorrect billing information and/or shipping information to any address other than the billing address may cause shipping delays, as information will have to be verified.

Please make sure your billing and shipping address is the same when purchasing products with our company because verification WILL be needed. In some cases, we reserve the right to decline any order and issue a refund at our sole discretion. Although rare, this typically happens when we suspect an order may be fraudulent.

SHIPPING POLICY

Donna Prescott Beauty Brand LLC ships orders using USPS to home addresses ONLY. A flat rate shipping with signature confirmation required upon delivery is currently being used by our company. Processing time varies depending on the product. Please refer to individual products for detail of the exact processing time. Shipping confirmation and tracking information will be available as soon as your order ships. If your product is not in stock, we will advise you immediately. Currently, we do not ship on Sundays or Holidays. Please note that weekends and holidays are not included in business days. Please thoroughly check the address information on your order for the delivery of your package. We will ONLY change shipping addresses once orders are placed if you email us with your First, Last name, email on file, order number, copy of your ID with the correct address. Please note if your package is returned, we will reship at your expense. Donna Prescott Beauty Brand LLC will not be responsible for returned packages due to the inaccurate shipping information. Donna Prescott Beauty Brand LLC will not refund shipping charges on Any orders returned. The customer will be responsible for shipping fees on all returns.

Credit card fraud and theft of our merchandise will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. If your billing address is different than your shipping address you may be required to fill out a credit card authorization form and/or send supporting documentation (copy of your ID) to match the Credit Card used for the transaction before your shipment is released. If this is necessary a representative will contact you promptly after your order has been placed.

LOST SHIPMENT

Please note that once your package is received by USPS we are longer responsible for the delivery of your item(s). Please contact USPS 800-275-8777 right away to initiate a trace on your package and have them start an investigation. We cannot control how long this investigation may take. We will not be responsible to replace or refund lost packages.

What are your gift cards terms & conditions?

  • To purchase a gift card, you will need to register an account with us on donnaprescott.com.
  • Gift cards purchased through our Website will be delivered automatically by electronic means to the email address you specify at the time of order.
  • Gift cards are only redeemable on our website, donnaprescott.com, as full or partial payment of products from our website, not to exceed the remaining credit balance on the gift card. A gift card cannot be used to purchase additional gift cards.
  • When ordering a gift card, make sure to enter the recipient’s email address correctly. Donna Prescott cannot be held responsible if the email address is entered incorrectly and someone other than the intended recipient receives and uses the gift card.
  • Gift cards cannot be returned, exchanged for cash, check, or credit, reloaded, resold, transferred for value, or applied to any other account, except to the extent required by law. Unused gift cards may not be transferred. Please treat this card like cash; if this card is lost or stolen, it will not be replaced.
  • Gift cards can only be redeemed at donnaprescott.com and may not be redeemed towards previous purchases. Every purchase made with a gift card (plus any applicable shipping/handling fees, taxes, and other fees that may apply) is deducted from the gift card balance and any unused gift card balance will remain on the gift card account. Gift card balances will be used against the total order placed on donnaprescott.com and not against specific items of such order. If any purchase exceeds the gift card balance, the balance must be paid using one of our accepted payment methods.
  • Gift cards are good for up to 5 years from the time of purchase, with any remaining balance becoming void after 5 years.
  • Donna Prescott has the right to close any customer account and/or request an alternative form of payment if a fraudulently obtained gift card is either redeemed through our website or is redeemed and used to make purchases on our website.
  • Any gift card purchase found suspicious or high risk by our system will be canceled and/or requires a second form of identification to be submitted from the customer (gift card purchaser).

What color does the hair extensions come in?

Our Raw Indian Hair extensions and Raw Indian Hair Lace Wigs come in a Natural Brown or Natural Black color. Our Budgetnista Wigs come in a natural brown color. Our Ready Crown Luxury Lace Wigs come in a variety of colors depending on the style. Please refer to the individual wig description.

How many bundles are recommended for a full head sew in?

12″-18″ 2 bundles | 20″-24″ 3 bundles | 26″ and above 3-4 bundles depending on fullness required. When in doubt, always purchase extra.

What grade hair do you sell?

We do not sell grade hair. “Grade hair” is a term or “BUZZWORD” that was created by wholesale hair sellers in China to differentiate between hair quality. We sell hair that comes from a single hair donor which is unprocessed in any way so it doesn’t have a grade.

What is the best way to store a crown wig?

A wig stand or mannequin is ideal. It will help keep the hair from becoming tangled and will help to maintain shape.

How long can I expect my crown wig to last?

What is considred a custom crown/wig order?

Please email details to Wigconsult@donnaprescott.com. ** Custom Crowns take 2-3 months to be completed. Price quote starts at $2200**

Custom orders are needed if you want the following factors;

  • You want something that is not on our website
  • If you need a cap smaller or bigger than our average size cap
  • If you want a skin top closure or cap or medial cap wig
  • If you want a wig with a specific hair density (average amount of hair on wig cap).
  • If you want a specific color (highlights/lowlights) Please note that when hair is hand-tied to a lace base, there is a small knot at the base. On jet black or off black hair, these knots can be very visible, and unlike lighter colors, cannot be bleached. 
  • If you want longer lengths than what we carry in our store
  • If you want a specific hair texture created

What is the process to purchase a crown/wig for the first time?

Step 1: We recommend you schedule a consultation with one of our hair Wig experts for a one on one session that could be done in person or virtually. Our experts have a wide knowledge of Wigs, lifestyle, and hair loss. Let us help you figure out which Wig is best for you and your lifestyle. During your in-person session, you will have the opportunity to try on different Wigs to figure out which cap type, cap size, hairstyle, hair density, and hair color is best for you.

If you are not able to come into our store located in Brooklyn New York for a consultation then we suggest you send us an email at Wigconsult@donnaprescott.com with a picture and detailed message of the hairstyle, cap type, capsize, hair density, and hair color you would like and a calendar will be emailed to you for booking your virtual consult.

Step 2: If you like our selected styles displayed on our website you can place your order on our site.

Step 3: We will call you when your Wig is ready. You can either pick it up or we fit it on you or we can mail it to you.

What is a crown/wig/unit/system?

A Crown/Wig?Unit/ System personalized customized piece we wear on the head. Wigs have gone through a major evolution and no longer looks “wiggie” or like a hat like the times of our grandmas. They are made to fit your personality and lifestyle. Every woman is a queen, and every queen deserves a Crown!

What is the processing and shipping time for your products?

Our Raw hair and hairpieces shipping and the processing time is 10 business days.

Our Lace Wigs shipping and processing time is between 10-15 business days. Usually take less time but due to the nature of our products being made per order we require the above time listed. 

Do you ship outside the US?

At this time, Donna Prescott Beauty ships within the US, and all APO addresses.

What if my package gets lost?

What is your refund policy?

Due to the nature of our products, we can not accept returns because of strict health code laws. We have a strict NO REFUND POLICY.  Please make sure to review your order carefully before placing the order. We will also not cancel, or refund orders for not acknowledging our processing time.

Do you accept returns?

We do not accept returns at this time but we welcome you to reach out to us via our contact form to share your concerns.  We value your feedback and will try to assist you in any way we can.

What type of lace are your products made on?

We carry swiss lace and HD lace.

What does density mean?

Density is determined by how thick or thin the amount of hair is.

What sizes does your wigs come in?

We currently only carry small, medium, and large wig sizes.

What's the difference between each wig cap?

Full Lace Cap. Hair density is evenly spread around the wig which is created on the lace so it looks very natural. 100% hand-tied. Our full lace caps have a stretch net in the crown.

Lace Front Cap. Hair density is evenly spread around the hairline and front of the cap on a lace 4.5”- 6’’ hence the name Lace front. Wefts are stitched to elastic netting and the back of the cap. An adjustable strap allows you to loosen or tighten the cap up to a half-inch. Smooth velvet tabs at the nape of the neck.

Standard Glueless Cap. Built just like the full lace cap with additions of clips and combs attached to the sides near the temple as well as a short study bone.

Monofilament Caps offer a very natural look with parting versatility. The mesh material gives the illusion of hair growth from the scalp and allows for individual, hand-tied hair. As a result, hair can be parted and combed in different directions. Monofilament Crowns can be monofilament at the part, crown, or entire top of the Crown area.

Double monofilament wigs also happen to be a good option for sensitive scalps as the cap is soft. Of the monofilament caps, the 100% hand tied cap is generally the most comfortable.

Machine Sewn Caps are the most common and affordable design. Wefts of hair are sewn onto the cap, which has a closed lace layer at the crown. The hair is cut and styled into a specific style and the crown/wig is often teased or crimped so you cannot see down through to the cap. This type of cap often gives the hair volume at the Crown.

What type of wigs caps do you sell?

Our wigs caps come as a Full Lace Cap, Lace Front Cap, Standard Glueless Cap, Monofilament, Silk Top, and Machine Sewn.

Is flat-ironing bad for your hair?

Everything done in moderation is key. Flat-ironing the hair won’t damage the hair as long as the temperature is not too high and is not done frequently.

How often should you shampoo your hair, weave/sew-in, and wif?

For your hair personal preference based on your scalp & hair. Our recommendation for weave/sew-in is to be shampooed every week or bi-weekly, based on the level of your activity or depending on your hair care need.  The environment and products used to cause the hair to become dirty. Working out is another culprit as well as it causes the hair to sweat, which dries the hair out. Our recommendation for wigs would be based on how frequently you wear your piece. Frequent wear will determine how often the wig should be shampooed and conditioned. We also offer Wig Maintenance packages under Salon Services.

How long can I Keep in a weave or sew-in?

A weave/ sew-in should be worn for no longer than 4 weeks – 2 months. Once you’ve reached 2 months the weave/ sew-in needs to be removed to prevent matting and breakage of the hair and for proper cleaning for the health of your hair and scalp.

What's the difference between beauty supply hair and "virgin hair" that you can purchase online?

The difference lies in the way the hair is produced. Beauty supply hair is washed with acid-washed, bleached, dyed, and bathed in silicone. On the contrary, online “virgin hair” is also washed in acid-washed and bathed in silicone, but not bleached or dyed.

What is unauthentic virgin hair?

Unauthentic Virgin hair is dyed, mixed with synthetic fibers, and processed with chemicals.

How long does the hair last?

Our Raw Indian hair has a lifespan of 2-4 years plus with proper care and maintenance. Our hair was rigorously tested and we have a case study of hair that has lasted for 7 years.

Can I color or dye the hair?

Yes. Our hair extensions are unprocessed and can be treated as normal hair which makes chemically processing seamlessly.

What kind of hair extensions do you sell?

Raw Indian hair. We carry premium hair of the highest quality of Human Hair. We also source our Raw Indian Hair from the Temples of Indian and East Asia.
