As I celebrate another trip around the sun this month, I’ve been reflecting on the incredible journey that brought me here — not just as a hairstylist, but as a woman, mother, wife, educator, entrepreneur, and someone who still gets butterflies every time I see a client’s face light up in the mirror. ✨
For those who may not know me personally, I’m Donna Prescott, founder of Donna Prescott Beauty in Brooklyn, New York. I'm a proud daughter of the beautiful island of St. Lucia, and I moved to New York at just 16 years old, full of big dreams and even bigger hair goals! 😄 I knew early on that beauty was more than skin deep — it was an experience, a transformation, and a way to empower.
My love for hair started long before I ever held a professional license. With family already in the salon business, you could say I was destined to hold a blow dryer in one hand and a dream in the other. I officially began my career in 1998, working alongside some of the most respected stylists in the industry, learning everything I could. Every trim, every color, every install was another step in refining my craft.
By 2012, it was time to take a leap of faith — and I opened my very first salon, Alter Image Salon, which many of you now know as Donna Prescott Beauty. It’s more than a name change — it’s a reflection of growth, confidence, and stepping fully into the vision I always had for myself and the women I serve.
Today, I specialize in Hair extension services, Wig services, Silk Presses, Healthy hair care, and so much more. I’ve poured over two decades of passion, experience, and constant learning into every product and every service. I still regularly take advanced training courses, because staying sharp means better results for you, my amazing clients.
Beyond the Chair: Expanding into Global Beauty
What started as a single salon in Brooklyn has now grown into something so much bigger — Donna Prescott Beauty is officially a worldwide name in luxury hair. 🌍✨
We’ve expanded beyond the salon to offer premium Raw Indian Hair extensions, and luxury hair extensions to clients across the globe. Our collections are trusted not only by everyday women looking to feel fabulous, but by beauty professionals and celebrities alike.
This growth hasn’t gone unnoticed — I’m honored to have been featured on News12, celebrated by the NY Liberty WNBA team, and recognized in countless beauty circles for our commitment to quality, consistency, and real results.
From the salon chair to the global stage, my mission remains the same: to help women everywhere feel powerful, polished, and beautiful — one strand at a time. 💫

This birthday, I’m celebrating more than just a personal milestone — I’m celebrating you. All of you who have walked through the salon doors, booked appointments, worn our wigs, shopped with us, shared our content, or simply encouraged my journey.
